JARDINES AGGRESSOR I TRANSPORTS DIVERS TO CUBA’S MARINE ECOSYSTEMS IN THE CARIBBEAN

The dive safari vacation aboard the liveaboard Jardines Aggressor I will allow students the opportunity to visit with Cuban scientists and marine experts in a unique ocean conservation and cultural exchange. The liveaboard educational dive adventure will include exploring the Fortress of El Morro and Habana Vieja as well as the spectacular Gardens of the Queen (Jardines de la Reina) National Park with some of the most pristine and biodiverse diving in the Caribbean. This is the liveaboard youth dive safari of a lifetime with their diverse, rich marine environments fringed with sandy beach seascapes and exotic island adventures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Jardines Aggressor I is a spacious, diver designed 110 feet (33m) long liveaboard. Guests will be welcomed by the 13 experienced English and Spanish speaking crew members. The Jardines Aggressor I liveaboard sleeps 20 guests in privacy and comfort.  The choice of cabins aboard the Jardines Aggressor I include 2 Movable Queen size cabins, featuring side-by-side beds, 8 Deluxe staterooms, each with single side-by-side beds. Each liveaboard stateroom has its own private bathroom with a toilet and shower. All staterooms have individual climate controls and a safe.

Diving

JARDINES AGGRESSOR I’S ITINERARIES INCLUDES JARDINES DE LA REINA, AN ARCHIPELAGO IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF CUBA.

The liveaboard Jardines Aggressor I’s itineraries includes Jardines de la Reina (Gardens of the Queen), an archipelago in the southern part of Cuba. It was named by Christopher Columbus to honor the Queen of Spain. Jardines de la Reina is a National Park and one of Cuba’s largest protected areas. It parallels the Cuban coast and is made up of more than 600 cays and islands. The healthy reefs are full of fish, reef sharks and is known to be one of the most beautiful areas in the Caribbean.

The 4 experienced dive pros aboard the liveaboard Jardines Aggressor I will ensure all guests have the best possible dive experience. Diving takes place from a powerful tender which is easy to enter and exit and quickly ferries divers to the best points of entry for each site. All dives are timed with each season for the best sites and to see the most abundant marine life.

SOME OF THE AMAZING SITES THAT WILL BE VISITED DURING THE LIVEABOARD DIVE VACATION

Include Cabezo de la Cubera which is extremely impressive with big schools of dog snapper, mutton, yellowtail snapper schools between the coral patches, Caribbean reef sharks, different species of groupers, sting rays, and  turtles. After going around the coral formation, divers get to a dive a shallow wall with clouds of purple blue tangs and massive schools of tarpon crossing by. Another site is Black Coral I with abundant colonies of black coral, a resident population of more than 20 Caribbean reef sharks, huge black groupers, schools of jacks rubbing their bodies against the sharks to clean parasites away, parrot fish schools, clouds of school masters and yellowtail snappers, also rainbow runners and oceanic triggerfish.

Other sites visited will include Black Coral II with passing schools of oceanic triggerfish and lonely eagle rays and Five Seas with overhangs with impressive resident schools of tarpon, black corals, and colorful sponges. There is a wreck here, the boat of Júcaro harbor that was used as a pilot boat. Octopus Cave has Goliath groupers over 200 pounds, impressive schools of  grunts, porgies and mullet around big pillar corals in the edge of the wall. Cabezo de la Raya, Los Mogotes, Pipin, El Farallon, Russian Mountain, Vicente and Avalon are all sites where divers will experience colorful walls, steep drop offs, large pelagics and impressive canyons.

THIS LIVEABOARD JARDINES AGGRESSOR I, IS THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, RELAXATION AND FANTASTIC DIVING.

When not enraptured with the underwater sights, guests aboard the liveaboard Jardines Aggressor I will find plenty of onboard activities. The air-conditioned lounge includes a large-screen TV, DVD system for watching movies and an ipod plug in for listening to music. There are plenty of fish identification books and diving magazines to browse through. Adults can enjoy the shaded wet bar and grill, and all photo enthusiasts will love the complete photo center with a digital video and photo editing computer. While enjoying the fabulous views of the scenic islands, guest can enjoy taking a nap on the shaded sun deck or tan on the cushioned lounge chairs. There is lots of room to wander on the decks of this roomy liveaboard. What better way to end a day of diving than soaking in the liveabaord’s hot tub! If that wasn’t enough, guests will be able to snorkel between dives, try their hand at fishing or venture out on an exotic island shore excursion.

THE FOOD ABOARD THE LIVEABOARD JARDINES AGGRESSOR I IS DELICIOUS, PLENTIFUL AND HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERY APPETITE

The liveaboard chefs cook up selections of American feasts, BBQ’s and local cuisine three times a day. Every day starts with a cooked to order breakfast then a buffet lunch. Each wonderful dive day is completed with an elegant dinner with tableside service featuring salads, vegetables, seafood, beef or chicken with a fresh homemade dessert. No one goes hungry on this liveaboard dive vacation as in addition to the meals are fresh midmorning and mid-afternoon snacks. Non alcoholic beverages including fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, iced tea, coffee are included as well as a selection of local beer and wine for adults.
