DESCRIPTION

RAJAT AMPAT AGGRESSOR IS A DIVE ADVENTURER’S FANTASY FOR AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY TO THE MOST ABUNDANT MARINE LIFE IN INDONESIAN WATERS

The sturdy and comfortable Raja Ampat Aggressor travels to the ‘Four Kings’, located in the heart of The Coral Triangle, known to have the richest coral reef ecosystem in the world. The four main areas offering itineraries are: Raja Ampat, Cenderawasih Bay, Banda Sea and Triton Bay. If you haven’t experienced the diving in this area, it is fantastic due to the diversity and abundance of marine life comprised of over 1500 islands and home to 600 types of corals, 1,500 fish species and over 600 types of mollusks.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The 100-foot Raja Ampat Aggressor and her 13 crew members safely and comfortably transport divers from one amazing dive site to another. While Indonesian waters are known for being a bit rough even during the right season, guests won’t feel much on board this well-built yacht. The steel-hulled ship cruises at 8 knots, providing the opportunity to dive a wide variety of sites in a single trip.

There are many options to keep guests occupied between dives. Daily activities include fish identification sessions, photo sharing, movies and a stereo for listening to your favorite tunes. Soak in the hot tub, enjoy a drink at the bar, or lounge on the shaded sun deck. There is also a small shop for buying souvenirs. Depending on the itinerary, guests may be given the opportunity to go on shore excursions. From dense jungles to unforgettable interactions with the locals, you are sure to make memories that last a lifetime.

Aboard Raja Ampat Aggressor, 16 divers will have their choice of three cabin types: Master Staterooms, Deluxe Staterooms or Twin Staterooms. The Master Stateroom features a queen bed, the Deluxe Staterooms sport both a queen-size bed and a twin bed, while five Twin Staterooms have two twin beds in an L-shape. All rooms boast windows, air-conditioning with individual climate controls, en suite bathrooms and TVs with media players.

Diving

THE RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR SAILS THE INDONESIAN SEAS YEAR-ROUND WITH 7 TO 12-NIGHT TRIPS WITHIN THE RAJA AMPAT REGION.

The five English and Indonesian speaking dive pros take advantage of the country’s seasonal shifts in weather to always find calm seas, good visibility and a variety of marine life regardless of the month you sail with the Raja Ampat Aggressor.

THE MOST POPULAR OF THIS LIVEABOARD’S ITINERARIES IS ITS RAJA AMPAT TRIPS WHERE GUESTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DIVE SOME OF INDONESIA’S BEST SITES, INCLUDING DAMPIER STRAIT, FAM AND MANSUAR.

Other itineraries include sighting rays and huge schools of fish. In the Banda Sea the yacht departs from Ambon where fantastic dives reveal weird and wonderful macro-critters. From July to September, you can find the Raja Ampat Aggressor sailing into Cendrawasih Bay for whale shark encounters.

Finally, a change in seasons between October and November means the Raja Ampat Aggressor heads for Triton Bay. To the south of Raja Ampat, these trips depart from Kaimana and are often combined with either the Banda Sea or Raja Ampat depending on the weather. Black coral forests and colorful soft corals are sure to impress on any dive within Triton Bay.

DIVING ON THE RAJA AMPAT AGGRESSOR TAKES PLACE UP TO FOUR TIMES A DAY.

Occasionally, if conditions are perfect, the fourth dive may be converted into a night dive. Depending on the itinerary, some dives can also be subbed out for snorkeling with whale sharks or land excursions to deserted beaches. Dives are completed from a spacious dive deck with a camera preparation table, fresh water showers and toilets. Warm towels will be ready for you after every dive. Nitrox is available for an extra fee. Diving takes place from two dinghies that remain at the surface on every dive. The Raja Ampat Aggressor also includes an impressive ‘whale deck’ that makes entering and exiting the ship more comfortable than ever. To clarify, this is a space at the back of the dive deck where divers can walk out and step onto the dinghies at sea level. When not anchored, the dinghies are transported on top of this inventive whale deck.
